COVID’s Effects on Fundraising in 2020

Home & Hope has faced a tough year. With COVID putting a damper on in-person fundraising events, we were significantly down in our annual donations. While we had a fun and enjoyable choral concert fundraiser, attendance and donations were affected. Additionally, another of our major fundraisers — the Holiday Gift Wrap Fundraiser at Stanford Mall — was cancelled completely, leaving Home & Hope significantly short on donations compared to previous years.

Recently, you might have seen our holiday letter calling on help from our supporters. The holidays have come and gone and we launched headlong into the new year, but we’re short much-needed funds to help our families get the services and assistance they so desperately need to become self-sufficient in 2021. This is why we’re continuing to fundraise into the first month or two of the new year.

Please, won’t you consider helping Home & Hope deliver the critical care that families facing homelessness so urgently need? Setting up a monthly recurring gift can help families throughout the year. Your one-time gift is also greatly appreciated. Home & Hope and our guest families thank you.
